LED light instead of headphones

Rigged up a red led light on the shaft of my detector and it works very well plugs into the headphone jack instead of a beep the red light lights up like Rudalph the red nose raindeer kinda like it probly best in heavy fog

That is a really good idea. You could also install a vibrator instead of the led!!! Jim

I wonder if it's more sensitive?? Being most headphones are 8 ohms? I saw a video on you tube of a guy using a tach/shift light on one.

the better head phones are 300 ohms. The 8 ohm phones sound muffled when compared.

Nice accessory Gunnar. Probably can't tell crackle and solid with the LED the same as you can with sound ... but still a nice addition.

I would also think somewhat difficult to acknowledge out in sunlight.

that would be cool, we need to think of the deff what would work for a deff person i have a deff cousen what would be really cool is a barr light so a week signal would go about 1/3 up and a medium signal 1/2 and a strong all the way then you could have red color for iron yellow for nickle bull tab zinc penny and green for silver copper of course not enuff def people to make it handy i will use the light on the compadre its nice to not be burdened whith the head phones some times and i feel like an colosal ass aout in the park whith that loud beep ya no
