Learning the T2

pull tab mel

New member
Had the T2 for about four months now and very pleased......I hunt a lot of old home sites and I have found a lot of goodies and a lot of wheaties. I have found only one silver dime amoung the many wheats. I know the wheats are more plentiful but cant help thinking I am missing some silver...Are there any setting you use if you wanted to recheck for silver? I normally hunt with sens. at 90 and disc. at 20......

Are you listening closely and watching the meter for flash high tones and readings.. Some Silver could be next to iron or junk targets and your only hitting it briefly..
Only sure way is all metal mode and dig it all.. But remember this the T2 is lightening fast on responses and you can hear the good signals once you train your hearing to do so. Once you get that flash target sound and or ID slow a little and see if you can isolate it. Just because there are Wheat's does not mean Silver is there.... Most kids didn't have Silver to loose at old home sites.. Pennies bought a lot of things in their day...Candy Bars , penny candies etc.. so that is why you are finding pennies..More kids had them ..

Elton is right.......when I was a kid......circa 1963........90% of the coins I had/saved were pennies, 8% nickels..2% silver. Pennies went a long way for a kid.....lol
