Almost 2 weeks now hunting just about daily. The machine is paid for. I am fortunate to live in a metropolitan area and the beaches have been packed. I am starting to learn what the V3I is telling me. I was just starting to learn my DFX really well but im glad I made the jump. The wife comes with me occasionally and she is holding her own with the DFX. I have such a long way to go to master it. Thank you Rob and Larry and thanks to everyone who has contributed to this forum. Rob I have been working with the discrimination and the rx it's starting to come together. I'm also digging deeper getting some mixed signals but have been digging them anyway I seem to get my deepest stuff this way.

I think there is a lot of silver waiting for me but I can't bring myself to work the dirt...not yet the beach is where it's at for me right now. I haven't even tested relic or deep silver. I will soon enough! THANK YOU!

all it takes is one good find to pay off a detector. that is if you can part with the find....

Oh well that is for sure... but you got to be quite lucky to find that goodie in such a short time. And let's consider one more thing if you have a wife, it will take you a lifetime to pay of for your detector because most of the real good finds end up in their jewel box...

Funny My wife wants no part of what I find. She feels its not hers and doesn't want it. Here is where I detect. Several miles of this exist and gets hit heavy from water guys and dry sand guys.. I do a little of both and put in anywhere from 4 to 6 hours a day. It's work I cant stress this enough....heat and sun take its toll, and sometimes I just get tired of detecting. I try and use my mind and detect in places where the others, well most of the others don't go. If I stayed in the dry all day I can do between 20 and 40 dollars in clad i have only found two gold in the dry but a ton of silver. I edited out the buildings and bridges. If your internet savvy I left some HUGE clues for you. This is a busy weekend. I usually start at 5 and am home by 12. I only put in 2 to 3 hours on the weekend cause it gets too crowded.

My friend I live in costa rica, central america, and if we had beaches full of people like the ones you got there, I would probably migrate tomorrow...
I love the lonely beaches with no people, even if that means that MD a weekend will get me $3 in clad... I just couldn't stand being in the middle of so many people...

One day we'll trade I would love to detect and do some fishing in Costa Rica!

Those people look like New Yorkers to me..........

I find it so funny that I was just giving you encouragement in another posting and then went to this! Guy......your past all the "beginner hand holding"! (Your on track to be teaching all of us a trick or two with your attitude alone.) A long belated WELCOME to you! :surprised: You go Boy! (I know it's not Seattle......no Birkinstocks and tweed bathing suits.)

A trashy beach and a trashy park are 2 different things entirely! Although I do good work with my 5.3 I think its the only coil I have that's not V rated. I have to check. Thank you for the welcome! I like it here.
