Im learning something everyday about the etrac... Take yesterday for example, i learned you can cover half a yard with the dang x-1 probe on and not know it... And if that wasnt bad enough i had to do it twice.... Blah....but i finally figured out how to determine this so maybe next time ill catch it sooner... It falsed everytime i would swing to the right, only took me half a yard on the second time to figure it out.... Did manage to find some coins though after i made the necessary adjustments..... Lol

I have been doing that for years! You would think I would have learned by now but no! Still doing it after all these years!

This may sound dumb,but what is the" X-1 probe".I assume it is the pin point mode,'cause this must have happened to me but I turned the machine off and on again not knowing what the problem was.

no probe here...but very similiar thing the first month I started.
I was used to the ACE250 where you have to hold the pinpoint button, bought my E-trac and I covered ALOT of ground in pinpoint mode on the E-trac thinking to myself that it was the most trash free zone in the park yet

kiwi jim, the x-1 probe is made by sunray....its like a hand-held pin pointer that attaches to your machine.... but instead of being open for everyone to hear, you listen to it thru your headphones.....
