I found out that the overload alert is all metal so you may get a grunt but when you raise it out of the range of the alert it wouldnt sound off if you have it notched or disc out, pull tabs and rings of the sort seem to give off the alert quicker than lead sinkers or coins do, just me observation , HH tigerhank68
