I went to an old resort/4 H/Bible camp on a lake this evening. The ground is white with alkali(sp?).Ground balanced at 4 sens.3.5 disc 1 and started hunting. The bottom pulltabs were sounding off as High tones.I dug 8 in a row.I laid 3 of them out on the ground about a foot apart.Turn up discrimination until I couldn't hear them and went back hunting. The next signal was a 1920 Wheatie followed by a 1963 Rosie dime.In a short time I found $.73 in clad.Lightning strikes drove me back to the van.I'm back there in the morning. There are some old cabins to hunt .I just know there's more silver there.I didn't get to hunt much before the lighning.Bill

You have hit an area where a particuliar tab came in the nickle area and gave you the high tone...Nickle area is broadened in expanded mode and so many tabs out there sometimes a particuliar one will come in as nickle on any unit....Sometimes switching modes may be the way out to eliminate the tab....Pays to experiment...
