We are seeing posts from people who have upgraded to the V3i, but also from people who never had a V3 but have gone straight to the V3i. I can't say how important it is to get an idea of the Spectra features
1) I posted this one before but it got no response. Download the manual from the Whites Electronics site. It is a PDF. Use the search feature that works with PDF's. Go to edit and then chose search. Someone asked about INHIBIT in a post. If you type in the word INHIBIT it takes you to that feature in the manual.
2) Take the rod and coil off just to make it easier to work with on the couch. Now you have just the box, while you are watching TV, play with the features, change them to see what they will do.. For each feature, read the on board help. Run though all of them. READING IS GOOD.
3)Read Carl's shortcuts. Try using bookmarks. All these make getting through the menus easier. Learn to set up custom live controls and use the common program.
4) Read through the forum posts and use the forum search features. I wonder if we have covered most questions at least once.
5) you should include your settings if you are having a performance problem. You will be asked for them so you might as well get them in your initial post.
6) Practice, practice and experiment. Make changes in the programs, change those tones, colors, base threshold, reject, and accept VDI's. You can undo any changes you make to a program by restoring from the library. You can't hurt anything...............Rob
