Is the CTX 3030 hard to use????

Is it hard to drive with a stickshift? Sure, but once you get the hang of it, just like anything, it will be a breeze.
You are not going to fully understand all the buttons and functions within a few weeks or months. It will take
some time. But once you do, you will be asking yourself, why didnt I get this sooner.

Good luck with your decision

5 months ago I would have said yes. I have never used a computer based detector. I came over from using the Excalibur and GT.If your coming over from any computer based machine, you'll be that much ahead. I can tell you this I am so very happy I stuck it out, and you will be too!
And its not hard to use. It takes time to learn and you have to give it time. Like any other new machine.

The nice thing about the CTX is that it can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it. It has some very good pre-set programes that work great or you can totally customize it to whatever you want.

If you stick with stock coins mode and auto sensitivity and learn it before you start tweaking its is very easy to pick up. I go over a real easy setup with all my customers to get them going right out of the box.

Holler if you have questions. Love to help! Bart

Yes, it is hard to use it well and get results many on this board are getting. I am not claiming to be there myself. I have noticed that learning to interpret the machine to recover deep (good) targets mixed with iron and shallow less desirable targets is very hard. It takes many hours of experience and digging lots of clad and crap. How hard it is depends on how good do you want to be and how many keepers:junk you want to dig...LOL! If you want to go down to the park and dig clad you can probably take the machine out of the box, charge it up, and do that.
