Leanna is working on another dog sculpture/commission...

Lee was doing quite a few commissioned dog sculptures last year. She did eight dogs and 4 horse heads, I think she got a little burned out and needed a break. The above picture is Leanna working on her latest sculpture. The following picture sequence has a couple different shots. Next to the last picture is the actual dog she is sculpting. When she has finished sculpting and baking the clay, it will be airbrushed to the exact color of the real dog. The last picture is Lee enjoying her work. I will make another post when she is painting it.

EVERYONE who has seen Lee's work just cannot believe it was done by a (at the time) 14 year old. When my grandkids come to visit we put it up high out of the way so they "don't pet the puppies". We were given the choice of having it be the dogs actual color or bronze look. We choose the bronze look. By the way Vernon. Thank you for such a great looking base too.

Is she the daughter that's writing a book too? Looks like you passed on your artistic abilities to your kids. Here's a link to some of my stuff...primitive compared to your daughter's artistry, but it helps pay for my relic trips. HH Paul

They are very unique and have tons of character. You should be doing very well with them. I was hoping to show them your carving of Mountain Man, but it wasn't in that sequence. Simply awesome carvings on the fruit, and really liked the Civil War soldiers. If you're interested, send me your private email and I'll send you a few small pictures of some of Leanna's sculptures she's completed and sold, and some of Hannah's pencil drawings.
