Lead shot casting?

Aaron

Well-known member
This white lead peice is about the diameter of a nickel. Found in a area occupied by the Union army, mid to late 1800's.
Not sure what it is....
Thanks!
Aaron

You might want to post on the Civil War forum where a lot of knowledgeable relic hunter hang out, but my guess is:

A CW bullet that was shot into the ground and then marked with an X to be used as a game piece, most likely checkers.
