lead oil lamp????

I found this with my XLT. In the sandy bank of the Delaware River, just north of Easton,PA. I believe it to be made of lead with the bottom 25% filled solid. It measures 2.5" tall and wide. The cap screws on. The mark on the bottom seems to read "American B. Company", with an image of what looks like the scales of justice.Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
