Lead, Excal & Sov,

ToniSteve

New member
Hello,
Where does lead fall on the meter on a metered Sov? And what are the tones for lead like on an Excal? Can lead be "ear" discriminated with an Excal in either disc or all metal mode with out throwing out the baby with the bath water?(gold) Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Steve

I don't know anything about the SOV, but on an Excal the lead is for the most part a high pitched tone, close to silver, but some (smaller sinkers) are lower pitched. I am happy to see sinkers when I'm hunting though and it is a target I look for, IF found where there are also coins. That is where the gold lives. You like gold, right? The specific gravity of lead mirrors gold.

You are right on GH - i get some wood when i find a spot with both sinkers and coins...

Dig the lead, it sometimes comes out yellow:yikes:

Thanks a lot everyone.

Best regards,
Steve
