Lead Bear/Brass Buckle

The bear is about 4 inch tall, made of lead. Missing the top half of what ever he was holding.Found in Backyard.
The Buckle I found this on a river beach in Cold Spring, NY (Hudson River).
Not sure how old these items are...
 
Very nice finds! I wonder if the bear was Smokey The Bear? The top half would have beet the bottm half of a shovel? It is a very cool find.

I thought that also when I first dig up. But was reminded that Smoky the Bear all ways wore a hat...
