Lead bar ID help

I dug this today and have no idea what it is 4" wide at the bottom 3" wide on top a little over 2' tall and has six sides
made of solid lead and weighs (guess) about 8-10 lbs.

Looks like plumbers lead from bout 60 yr ago, i used to help a plumber back then, they used it to seal plumbing joints, could use it for other stuff too, what it looks like, might not be tho

When I was 14 I was working with my father building a House--The Plummer was using lead in that shape-I(Borrowed?)A few Lbs of lead out of his pot--A nother worker told me to say it evaporated---Thats what I told Him--He did NOT believe me---It was quite a few years later before I realised Lead Does NOT do that--Then I realised I was the dumb one---So another time I was told to go buy a Bastard File Again I was wrong as I thought I was sent to go on a SNIPE HUNT by the Cabinet maker I was working for-I thought sure I was going to be Laughed at by the local hardware man but he brought one out and it Said Bastard on it----------Now does any one Know where it got that name---Now the nice? Old? Man who owns the hardware store Should? be able to tell us the Answer?
