LC yesterday Barber Dime today

My oh my...had to go back to where I found the penny yesterday but only had about an hour to hunt.

About 20 yards from where I found the penny I got a very faint tone however my X-Terra-70 showed a 36 and five arrows.
The tone was low in volume but was high pitched. I removed the 5" deep plug and the tone volume was much louder and sharp. At about 8" I could see the edge of the coin. It was standing on its side thus explaining the low tone. Recovered was a 1906 Barber Dime in near meant condition. The word Liberty on the wreath can still be seen.

The X-Terra-70 with the 10.5 DD 7.5KHz coil was able to locate that thin dime on its end at 8"..amazing.

Fantastic find!! I would have been doing the happy dance for sure! I know you were stoked, great hunt, Beale.

Tom, great find. This is one easy to use, hot detector. I have had three Explorers and this detector is like a lightweight version that has a very short learning curve. I really like that coil too. R.L.

Can I ask if the faint high tone was repeatable? I am new to this and am hungry for useful knowledge. Thanks

Boris..When I first detected the tone I stepped by it, turned and passed the coil over the target. I received the same tone. I then "X" the target and received the same tone. I always do this on a faint tone. TomB

GOLD....went back today and found a 18k Gold mans wedding ring. Appears to be a size 13 and is 1/4" wide.
Not in real good condition (8" down) but my first gold. Tom
