Haven't posted in a few weeks - hunting time has beed limited or it's been blazin' hot.
Got a short hunt in at Dad's park a couple weeks ago. Four wheats ( all from the '20's ), a 1902 IH, and a 1941 Merc. Also found a clear marble and an
amusement token.
Last week I got in another short hunt at Dad's park (about 1 & 1/2 hrs). I usually find quite a few wheats at each hunt but this time NONE. What I did find were two IH 1895 & 1899. Two Buffalos dateless & 1928, and three Mercs 1917, 1941, & 1942.
One reading I got was real "funky". The cursor was bouncing around and the tone was odd but it kept giving a "warble". When I tried to pinpoint I realized that it
was actually two targets close together. I pinpointed the non-warble target first. The plug revealed a very rusted crown cap at about 4+ inches. I rescanned and got
a clear warble about 3 inches to the side. That plug gave up TWO Mercs at about 4+ inches (1941 & 1942).
