The football world wouldn't let them. The mathematicians of the world wouldn't let them. The non-believers wouldn't let them.
Better let them. This new math really does add up.
No. 11 Auburn rocked and shocked No. 2 Florida 27-17 Saturday night without scoring an offensive touchdown. Instead, the Tigers relied upon a big-play defense, a blocked punt and four John Vaughn field goals
"How do you do that?" Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville asked for himself, and maybe for the masses.
Down 17-11 at the half, Auburn came storming back by blocking a punt for a touchdown and picking up a fumble and scoring on the game's final play. Before that, Auburn scored on a safety and sprinkled in Vaughn's four field goals.
"Where's my toilet paper? I'm going to Toomer's Corner," an excited Tuberville said.
It brought Auburn all the way back, in just a week, from a disappointing loss to Arkansas and kept Tuberville's remarkable run against the nation's elite right on track. The Tigers have now won eight of their past nine games against Top 10 teams, and this time they did it against one of the SEC's own.
Florida was the last of the undefeated SEC teams.
"Bouncing back means so much more," Tuberville said :bounce:
It was confirmed that Bubba was actually seen on National Television in this pic
