I seem to find a lot of pennys. 1964 and 1968d penny and 5 pennys yesterday and one of those little truck models and a brass looking spoon. It wasn't stainless steel or silver and it was so corroded I could not find any markings on it. Hope to get out again today if the weather doesn't get too bad. My neighbor called and let me know her brother shot a huge rattlesnake this morning near this spring I have been trying to get to for some time. It's overgrown with briars and saplings and I use my machete for about 30-45 minutes once or twice a month and that wears me out pretty good, but I will get to the spring eventually. Our church which is over 100 years old used to have their baptisms there and it was a school before the church and the schoolkids used to eat their lunch there and I feel real good about finding some older coins there. It's just so isolated and over grown that it's a challenge. I feel assured that it will be worth it when I eventually get back there.

Fongu that sounds like a great place to hunt if you can get in there. I was out in the woods the other day fighting for every step I took through the under growth. That gets tiring pretty quick. Hope to hear you are able to pull some good targets out of there. Best of luck!:detecting:
