Had a couple of things going this morning, so didn't get swinging until about 10:30 and when I pulled into the site, saw tabman swinging away up on a iron infested knoll. I walked out onto the field on the other side of a small bridge and within five minutes got a faint signal with a reading of 88-91, with a lot of 90's showing. Just knew it was. And, it was! From 7," got a Barber quarter that was on edge. Grabbed my camera and the on/off button was stuck. Got it to work when I got home. Knew the Barber was worn, but upon getting it out of my pill water bottle at home, it looked like a salt water beach recovery. The 1915 is legible, however. It did come out of a low spot and water was seeping into the hole I had dug, so maybe that the cause of its nasty looking condition. About fifteen minutes later working the side of a ditch got a nice 83-84 reading and popped the 57d Rosie from about 4." Last Sat I hunted for a couple of hours and dug the 1908 V nickel that is also toasted. I dug the flat piece of lead and the 53 wheat and the coin with 12 on it today. I think the flat piece of lead might be a civil war period lead tag. Not shown is the clad and cents I also dug today. Had a nice modern 4 clad quarter and 3 clad dime coin spill along a sidewalk. There is still stuff around, just gotta inch your way along and eventually something good will turn up. HH jim tn
