Late Service at Surf Church in Bermuda:cool:

I got out around 8 o'clock this morning for a little hunt at my personal beach. I missed the low tide by 3 hours but I don't hunt in the dark with the sharks. My buddy Besco, he likes hunting with the sharks:bouncy: not me though.:look:
Anyway, I wandered down to my beach this morning and it was overcast but nice so away into the water I went. We've had a lot of seaweed here from the Sargasso Sea over the last month so the beaches are full of it. 5 minutes into the hunt what pops up but a fat little 14k band. What a nice surprise considering I thought I had hunted this beach clean (you never know). I rocked along for a while after that digging pull tabs and then I heard a really faint sound but with a really nice tone so I start digging and digging and digging. After 5 minutes I have a monster hole 3 feet wide and over 2 feet deep but the tone just keeps getting better and the signal louder. Pop can I think to myself, but the tone is all wrong. Finally I hit something hard and pull out a huge brass weight, Very Kewl! This relic was down three feet plus but I was sure happy I kept digging. This is shaping up to be a good hunt even if I did get a late start.
I stashed the brass weight in the bushes and kept going, feeling very optimistic now.
Unfortunately that was about it for the next 2 hours except for some clad and a little silver ring and odds and sods. A good hunt for sure!
Here's the spin:

Have a Wonderful Christmas and New Years!

Thanks All,

The water here is down to 67 degrees farenhiet and after a few hours it gets a little cool even with a wet suit on. It's still a lot better than pushing ice sheets out of the way so you can hunt. My hat is off to you Martin, you Crazy Canuck.:canadaflag::thumbup: I think this Canadian is going to stay in Bermuda a while longer yet.
I'll post a pic of the brass weight once I get it cleaned up.

Cheers and Merry Xmas,
