Late Date One-Room Schoolhouse

I spend a lot of my hunting time searching farm fields that once had one-room schoolhouses on them. Most of the schools were consolidated in the early 1920's and the schoolhouses were either torn down or in some cases used as storage buildings for hay and corn. These sites are great spots for Indian Heads, early date Wheat Cents along with V-Nickles and early date Buffalo Nickles. This week I hunted with the Fisher F75 in 2L Tones at one of these sites that I found on several 1880's maps. When they stop showing upon the later maps, it is a good clue that they were no longer being used. This site seemed rather strange because no Indian Heads were dug and several of the Wheats were from the 1940's along with a 1942 War Nickel and a 1944 Mercury Dime. This is the first time I have come across this type of date arrangement....Thanks for looking
