got the merc, ring, and war nickel out of the little park I've been hitting lately. Found the two tokens on 2 individual privates. Yesterday I was out-of-town in a little burg up north visiting friends and hit 3 privates doorknocking, first two doorknocks were "no" and 3rd one a yes! Unfortunately the 3rd one looked the best of all three but I couldn't even scare up a wheatie after 4+ hrs? Dug a ton of copper memorials, nickels, etc. and the one billiard toke was the only older find? I worked it hard and dug a LOT of coins, toys, etc. and just couldn't get into any oldies......... maybe next time...lol Here's a pic of the trash coins.........

Of course, I was referring to the pic of the modern clad/zinc/coppers in lower right. I look at them as "interference" or "in the way" and unfortunately the valuable time has to be spent to get them out of the way to hopefully unlock something older/deeper underneath....???? If I was into detecting for financial gain I'd most likely be swinging a compadre and clad stabbing.......
I've done a real good job this yr of cutting back on the newer clad, etc. but they still consume valuable time imo...........
