Last week I was in southern Ontario and hit a park in Hamilton.
Presently using the 705.....it's been a progression from the 70 to Etrac to 705 to 705 and 70.
The ground was dry and hard so I was a little more selective in which targets I decided to dig.
10.5" MF DD was used.

Here you will see:
-1917 US walking liberty half dollar
-1879 US barber quarter dollar
-10K mens gold ring still in the clump
-1928 nickle
-earring and sterling silver Birks pin.

The 10.5 DD 7.5kHz strikes again...great finds and that walking Liberty is a thrill any time you find one. TomB

awesome finds!

But I scratch my head when you say you were being selective about what you dug.......YET.........you dug a gold ring? how is that? Normally gold would be a real low conductivity signal, like pulltab, trash etc.......how did you manage to selectively dig that one? However you did it, you got a sweet ring! congrats!

The ring is a 10K and has some mass to it.......came in in the high 20's to low 30's and sounded solid so I dug. Not all gold rings come in at pull tab.....I've dug many of them in the 30's as well.
