Last weekends finds...

I have been taking some new detectorists around with me for a few hunts. We finally got onto a spot that was not hunted to death. The 1860 maps showed the homested back in the bean field up on a hill. We gained permission and within five minutes Tony had a hard times token followed by a large cent! He ended up with three LCs! His wife Cathy found a super good condition 1868 IH and a cortal bell. Pictured are my finds (front and back shown of the token). I actually found two of the bank tokens but gave one to the owner. I think the token and flying eagle are probably the nicest ones I have found. It was definitely a fun hunt. We also pulled some round balls, bullets, and flat buttons.

Take care and HH - BF

Looks like a site that should be visited again. Not too many Flying Eagle Cents are found due to short mintage. WTG! Hope there is a few more if you make a return trip. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
