Last Weekend's Finds

Gonehunting

New member
Went with five friends from all over the State and even one from Kansas. We went to an old School that has been abandoned and burned for quite some time. The detectors used were an Xterra 70, 2 Ace 250's, a Etrac, a F75 and a CZ (unknown model). The ground was extremely hard due to the native rock, and targets were shallow. The deepest was 4inches. I personally had a spot find of a 1938 Buffalo. The group total was 11 wheaties oldest 1937, 2 silver(war nickels), 3 jeffersons newest 1954, a 1938* Buffalo, a 1 V nickel 1908, 1 1941* merc one no date, and an old copper ring with a green stone*. I marked my finds with an asterisk. The newest member had purchased an Ace 250 that morning and found 2 nickels(one war nickel) and 2 wheaties which speaks volumes for the detector cause this place was very trashy and hard hunting. Had a blast and ready to go back and target specific areas... Enjoy and happy hunting! GH
