Last weekend finds of F75

Just got the unit early June. Had lots of fun using the F75. On my first trip I was able to find relics, coins and jewelry! Wow! Oops no silver coins yet but hopefully it will come :)

Old encrusted coin, crucifix, bullets, a gold bracelet and 1940s coins. Not shown are two junk rings, a junk bracelet, a bent jackstone, about 60 coins for the first 2 days.

Currently using Disc10-15, Sens of 20-40, default threshold, no notch, 3 tones, DE and 11" coil. I also have the small coil and tried hunting in really trashy site and I could not hunt the site well with all the falsing and constant tones. Anyone find good stuff with sens at 5 or 10? Anyone hunting in bad ground with 88-92 GB and .3 to 1 mineralized soil have any tips for me?

Nice finds Doug,

I am looking at the F70 myself right now. In september I will be in the Philipinnes. Where are you located Doug? Maybe we could meet up...

Eric.

where do you usually hunt in manila?..may i ask?..will the (p.n.p). let you hunt in intramuros?

Run that large encrusted object through electrolysis using baking soda and water
with the neg attached to that object. Just use a 9 volt battery. Be on the lookout
for 1 peso silver coins made earlier the last century-they are worth a BUNCH.
Any bivouac site for US troops should be a gold mine.

Hi JT,
Old private houses, Parks, Beaches, Old churches...everywhere you can get permission like you guys do over there.
I was able to help out in a project in Intramuros. It was fun but the museum does and should keep all the finds.

Hi Vlad,

Yes we usually do electrolysis on 3 to 6 volts. I use salt instead of baking soda. Is the latter better?
These encrusted coins are usually spanish copper coins :) The american 1900s to 1940s usually come out with the greenish tinge.

Has anyone made a table showing what are best settings for handling high mineralization like what we have here in Manila? Please check the numbers on my original post.
Was hoping to do side by side comparisons between the F75 and my other detector but Typhoon Frank kept me indoors :-(

Thanks,

Doug

but would like to know who has had much success in combination of highly mineralized soil and heavy trashy sites and with what Sens settings. I do have the small coil but didn't use settings below 20 yet...

Manual ground balance and use the stock coil.

mabuhay!,,doug!
any luck in rizal park!..went through there a few times, and also luneta park!..no problems with the p.n.p?....would have loved to hunt the military base in baguio before they turned it into a golf course!
