My friend Bugsy and I went to the West side yesterday and all I could scrounge up were a few wheaties. I think I got most of the silver out of this area. Got up bright and early this morning and headed back and worked this new area. Started picking up some more wheaties and then the silver started coming. I was only there for about four hours and then the rain started and I had to call it quits. I may try and get back to this area next week sometime when the rain stops. My take for the last two days were wheaties dated 20, 25, 37, 41, 3-44's, 52, 2-53's, 2-56's and a 57. Rosies were 49, 50, 54 and a 59. Mercs were a 44 and a 45 and I got two Canadian dimes dated 43 and 44. Been a while since I dug a buffalo and it was a nice surprise and you can barely make out the date. Turned out to be a 1914. I finally dug up a complete pocket watch. Can't tell what time it quit ticking as the face is in pretty bad shape. My coolest find was a World War II Victory Medal that was awarded to our servicemen between Dec 7th, 1941 and Dec 31, 1946. Not a bad two days of hunting and I hope my next outing is half as good. Thanks for looking and HH.
