Last Two Days Finds

We have been having some incredible weather here in NE Ohio and I have spent the mornings hunting with the Xterra 70. Good finds just keep coming from spots I have been hunting for years. This detector is as good as any I have ever had. Yesterday, I found two mercury dimes(1941 and 1917) , a 1943 quarter, and 5 wheats. Today I found 4 wheats, one merc(1943), and a 1909 V nickle. All the coins today came from 8 plus inches. I have 12 silver coins, 2 buffalo nickles, 2 V nickles, 2 war nickles, and 25 wheats in the last week or so. These are not from new spots and considering that, this detector is truely making old spots new again. I used the 10.5 7.5khz DD coil to make all these finds and yes, this coil is the real deal in my humble opinion!

Great finds!

I've been using the 3khz which I like alot. It seems to me the 7.5 dd should be the stock coil. The 6" 7.5khz, 9 inch 3 khz, and 10.5" 7.5 khz dd, would be the ultimate combo for coin/relic hunters. I be adding the dd to my arsenal soon!

Just curious where you are close to? I am from south of Canton but have been living in Germany for 22 years now. That 7.5/10.5" DD coil is great and gets amazing depth for a DD, finds the smallest dang targets too. Congrats on the finds and silver! HH, Mike

Mike, I am from the Northeast corner, Conneaut. Conneaut is right on the Pa. border and right on Lake Erie. We get bad winters with a weather phenomenon called "lake effect snow". Cold winds blowing over a warm lake can dump 2 feet of snow in a hurry. I was in Frankfurt in the early 70's in the USAF. I loved that German beer! R.L.

I just got my 10.5" 7.5kHz coil last wek. I've only had a chance to use it once and so far think it's going to be a great addition. Congrats on your great finds.

Good hunting, John K

Wow those are some fantastic finds! A big congrats to you! I really do need to get that coil, Beale.

WTG RL nice finds, I definitely see that 10.5 DD coil in my future. Probably next week.
