Last two days finds 8 rings but only 2 gold, 2 silver

Yesterday I took a road trip to a lake I haven't been in in years. LOL didn't miss out on much. I did get the 14K band there. I also got the senior paratrooper medal. The only benchmark is T21. Looks to be old. Then I hit a lake that gets hammered by others but NOT the drop off. I seem to be the only diver in there. I pulled out the 10K signet from there. Also pulled out the thin silver ring. The 1972 half was also there in the swim area. Whoever goes there either today or other days of the week will find the swim area nice and clean and void of targets!!

Today I hit the weekend party spot with Kevin. Only silver today, The necklace, the shiny ring and the small earring with the large stone. Cans and bottles are worth 10

Nice clean up...lots of cheap stuff...u need to get back to the more expensive waters...although 10 cents a can ain't bad...must have a deposit?...we get around 60 cents a pound.....i started out crushing the cans i find MDing and filling my pockets...too much trash, couldn't crush the bottles,so now i carry a onion bag..its great for every thing but wire and hooks....did the truck have a rear end-er or is the hood up?...Great Bunch of Stuff/more fun than real work...HH Good Luck

I wonder how long she wore one earring until she lost the other in Florida? SD was not kidding about being Sea sick after being bounced around by waves for 7 hours. I didn't feel good the rest of the evening.

LOL Now that is STRANGE, except I am sure there are thousands of pair out there!

Yes we have a can deposit of 10

Nice finds there Scuba D! I have a question for you. You said that you are probally the only diver in the area. My question is how is the lake bottom. Is it sand or muck and what is the weed situation?

The bottom is muck. No weeds. However, don't discount diving in weeds, I have found many gold rings while pushing weeds over. I have also found many gold rings in muck.

Metal, I carry TWO double edged dive knifes. One on my BC and one on my guage console. I have had to cut line before and I carry the knives for that reason, and to dig in clay the rare times the object was stamped into it.

I also had to cut a fishermans line when I was snagged in the river at 8 miles per hour by the current, I wasn't going to be brought up!!! I did find the fisherman after and give him his 2 pound sinker and lures back and a few other things for his troubles.

"only 2 gold, 2 silver " ---- you too funny SD!!

Only!? "-----------" when most Hunters would be blown away with any ring!!!!!

GL&HH Friend,

CJ

LOL, yes your right CJ. BUT I am used to more!!! The silver necklace makes up for a lot of rings also. I am in the 20's with my gold ring count this year. My highest year was 76 with the short Michigan summers. I am hoping to break that one year BUT all the Stailness, Tungston, and Titanium is making that difficult.

Maybe I am too greedy!! But they need me to save them from drowning and need to help me pay for my adventures!!!

I know the feelin Friend!!

I mostly just count the different pieces of gold jewelry I find (Way too few!!), but if I had your totals I would just count the pounds!!

Yes, and you might want to know how I bring everything to shore!! I pull this tube around: The tube has my dive flag attached and inside the cover is totally empty.

And I have on of those mesh bags on my BC and one attached to the tube. All the junk goes in the bag on my bc and all the good stuff goes in the bag on the tube. I find more junk than good stuff there and thats the reason behind that. That float held all those cans and bottles and I emptied my junk bag twice in it.

If I find gold, it goes in my BC pocket NOT the bag on my float, for any of you lurkers that are thinking of stealing it while I am under!!! You will need a depth charge to get it.

Congrats on all of the finds. It's too bad that people have to throw their trash in the water. Forget the depth charge idea, I would just throw my 2 pound sinker at you.

Busy busy Scuba. Nice finds.

You every try running a hookah instead of running tanks?

Lakota

Nice finds Bob. Have you ever dove the drop offs at Lake Chemung?

Bought a gas hookah and tried it once. Too noisy, sold it. I have 10 tanks so I am as happy as a fish. I might try an electric hookah one day. Haven't decided.

Nice to see you Larry. Nope, haven't even been to that lake!!! LOL but its now in my database!!

OHH yes a 1792 half would be wonderful! My oldest coin is a spanish reale from 1572. I found it in a party spot in a bezel and also found the chain a day later. I am positive it came off a shipwreck and was sold in a boating magazine. A wife probably got it for her husband.
