Smallest ring that I have ever found. Click on picture to expand.

That sure is a wee one. Is it copper? Maybe from an old gumball machine?

Nice digs and nice assortment of loot. I've got a question: Why do you use Photobucket to post your pics?? I've seen others that do this and can't figure out why one would go to all the trouble. Please enlighten me!!

I'm really not sure, I think that it is brass or some pot metal. It didn't ring up very high, 50's I think, but it was loud and consistant. It has multiple hearts on it and I think that it is for a child. I tend to clean most finds over the winter, but I do give coppers a couple of H.P. baths first. The mineralization is pretty bad here.

Interesting bunch of finds!! I found a similarly tiny ring recently, too.
BCD: 2 reasons to use a 3rd party image hosting service:
To be kind to findmall by saving their server space and bandwidth (especially if ya' want to show a lot of photos with clickable large full-size versions, like me).
To maintain an online catalog of your finds that are under your control. Useful if findmall ever gave up the ghost (gasp!).

I used to use photobucket, but hate the recent changes that take you to their site when you click a photo, so I switched to ImageShack.com. I haven't tried it with Picasa (google), though I have an account there, too. I also still have a small hosting biz, so I could put a site up for my finds, but am content for the moment. (by the way, there seems to be a 'cat-jacking' in progress at your place !!)

 First dig was my old coin field were I got nothing but shotgun shells etc., as I can't swing in that stubble, then Two demo'd house yards and some grass strips in town. When that big Brit penny flopped out all I saw was George V1's head and I thought '' what the he.. is this thing '' ?, in pure big eyed excitement. It was too big for an old Canuck L.C. This hobby is facinating and full of surprises.

Congrats on a very nice "wee" hunt! I love all the neet stuff you found! Beale.

Thanks. I was actually just as happy to find an old swirl marble as any of the coins.

I'm not as tech savy as you, or most here probably. I'm self taught with pooters and I go with my limited knowledge base. Yes, I jump through hoops to post a pic, that's for sure.

nice finds you have there, the horse is it from a small weathervane?

Are you collecting your winter supply of treasures before freeze-up?:smoke:

Sunrise at about 8 am....sunset at 17:00. Loosing about 5 minutes a day in light.
