Hunted an old farmhouse in Racine, Wis this past weekend. The only silver that came up was a spoon(my first silver spoon).
Pulled a 1906 Injun and a bunch of wheats.

My most interesting find was a 1916 Illinois motor vehicle registration tag.
They started registering vehicles in 1909 in Illinois and people where responsible for making their own plates
until they started being mass produced in 1913
1916 - 248,400 vehicle where registered in Illinois.
Here is the link to the website http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/special/plate_history/1907_1919.pdf

The IH is always a good find! I really like the car tag! very unique and different. Very good find, Beale.

Thanks Beale,
I really like the unique finds. What's kinda of cool about it is I know it was the 32,920 vehicle registered in the state of Illinois which would have been 1911 according to the website, as the reg number stayed the same year after year and the license plates matched the reg. tag.

Neat find on the tag. I found a 1917 Georgia one last year. It looks like a lot like yours except it says Georgia on it.
