Well, the house is gone and the area is pretty much cleared and bulldozed. I was hitting an area that had trees previously and not getting much in the way of targets. Suddenly, that silver tone chirped at me! I cut a plug and saw a small silver rimmed disc coated with black dirt. I couldn't tell what it was but I just KNEW it had to be my first capped dime !!! When I was done I took a closer look ........ A MERC, 1937 !!! Oh well, not a capped but I'll take it. lol
I wound up with two more buttons (one is pewter), a buckle, and two IHs (1888, 1894).
