Last shot at dirt diggin' ?

I took advantage of the 50 degree sunny weather in Ct on Sunday. Hit a cellar hole where I'd found a nice 1797 draped cent and some other coppers along with some flat buttons last spring (also got lime disease there too !!).
Managed to turn up another draped LC along with another copper (smaller dia and thinner than the LC but pretty worn). also found four flat buttons.

Nice finds. Any large cent is a terrific find, especially the earlier dates. Have you ever found a Liberty Cap large cent?

I hope the weather holds out and you can do some more dirt diggin'

A friend of mine found a nice capped LC last year - great features on it. I've found quite a few draped but no capped yet. My goal this year was to find something earlier than seated in silver, but it didn't happen. NEXT YEAR I will !!
