Ok folks. I was diving yesterday and when I was on the way home I noticed I missed a call from Jason Carr of Channel 2 news. He said it was going to be aired at 10:00. I couldn't get back in time to let people know so here is a link to it if anyone is interested.

:ninja:Now that was exciting news......The kind of news I rather watch! Well Bob We would give you a metal but you already found some....Keep up the great work and keep on posting.....Awsome and looks like alot of fun. :ninja: :crylol:

G'day SD
just watched the show... good stuff.
I noticed you don't appear to have earholes cut in your hood.
The couple of times I tried diving with a complete hood I found the headphones kept slipping off and also found that the signals were too muffled and faint.
Luckily I have heaps of old suits around so took a suitable jacket and cut holes for my ears.
Probably look a bit of a goose with white ears poking out of a black suit but once I put the phones on they sit nice and snug and the signals come through loud and clear. No noticable water movement or freezing ears either.
Am I the only diver detector who does this? Just curious.

Cheers Lou.

Your the man....Although I think I might had jackslapped the guy who took the wallet and didnt say thank you. What a nice guy you are.:clapping:

Fantastic story Bob, thanks again for your being a great Ambassador for our hobby. Looks like you really enjoy your hunting trips, and that is the best reward you can have in life, enjoying what you do as a job or hobby. Thanks for sharing. HH

Great story!!!! Way to go on the returns!!!

Thanks for all the replies!! Wow, makes a person feel special. Anyway, downunder, I do have holes in my hood. They are about the size of a nickle though. Not big, but big enough that they work.

Great story, great finds. A great ambassador for the hobby. :clapping: :beers:

I just recieved another call from the TV reporter, Jason Carr. I will be on the 5:00 news tonight and this weekend also. He said the response has been tremendeous!! I already have one lead to find a ring!! They called me at work today because of the story last night!!

Awesome, just awesome. HH Dennis in Idaho

I liked everything they had to say, except that you WERE NOT the pirate type, what an insult! Yer a pirate, aren't cha? I know I am!

Me a pirate? Shiver-me-timbers no. I haven't looted a swimmers finger in a long time!!

n/t

Perhaps you are the polite type, like Jean LaFitte, he NEVER claimed to be a pirate, "just a privateer". I am coming around, but these 2 have now gone home to their owners, 4 still pending. One of the 2, left on Tuesday of this week inbound for home.

That was a really good watch. Thanks for the link and thanks for doing so much to put our hobby in a good light. Way too much negative public opinion of us over the years. Well done.
Jerry

Thanks for all the kind remarks. Gulf Hunter, hopefully it will pay off for you and if not at least you tried!! Good luck in future finds!!
