Last nights finds...

That 2 cent piece is in amazing condition! I have yet to find one of those babies! I'm sure they are not too common in Canada though.

Well done

Man, that two-center sure is sweet. I've only ever seen one other one dug out of the ground. It was an 1864 as well.

Well, you inspired me to put away the DFX and put my cladsweeping on hold for a day. Took the Explorer out for a spin today and boy, you were right! The ground is so dry and the iron was quiet enough that I pulled 6 Indian heads, 4 Buffalo nickels and a 1881 British large cent from the honey hole hillside at LP. I'll post a picture after the indians are done soaking.

DO NOT try to clean the 2 cent piece.I found a few that looked like that. When I tried to clean them and the green started to come off,the coin got real ugly fast.Nice hits.Dave

You should have come up here today.Found an old swimming hole.Pulled a Lg Ct,V nickel and a Civil War belt plate in about an hour. All with the 3x6 coil. Can't believe how strong a coin at 7-8" hits on that thing.Dave
