Last night at Va Beach

Got down to the beach around 10:00pm for the nightly spin.Darren wanted me to check out some of his latest finds with my diamond tester. He hit the jackpot all 3 rings were real and some really nice ice. After we messed around with them for a few minutes we headed down to the beach. When I got down on the beach.(2 blocks) my Excalibur would not do anything I could not get a peep out of it.So back to the truck I go and get out my Quattro and back to the beach I go well here comes Darren back said he forgot and had his cell phone still on him and he was headed back to the car to leave it.I hunted for about 30 minutes and my batteries went dead in my Quattro and had to change them out. What a start I had.Well there were not a whole lot of targets and seemed like the beach is getting more and more sanded in.Hit the surf lane from 36 street down to 17th with hardly any finds. So I headed up in the dry sand for my walk back.No gold or silver for me tonight.Got another monster truck and car and about 3 dollars in clad.

Me and a buddy Karl hit the beach at 10, coming in at 9th street. He was using my Quattro and me the Excal. We hit some clad patches and things were looking pretty good but petered out quick when we got to the pier. Went a little further and only got worse. Went south again and apparently had cleaned that pretty well because it was sucking there too. Hit it until a little after 2 and packed it in. Our take very similar to yours...I got 9 quarters, 10 dimes, a couple nickels, 25 pennies, and a few "whatzit's". Karl was about the same. Saw Darren, Big Rick, brother Mike...missed you.

We'll see how it goes tonight.

I ended up not getting much either, around a dollar in clad. Got one mood ring, but some guy wanted to know if he could buy it, so i just gave it to him, and got some sort of steel hoop earring. Supposed to be alot of sand moving off today, i hope so. HH
