New member
First month with my new Dual Field. Easy to use and goes very deep. Here are the findings:

Total hours: 30. All 13 gold rings recovered from shallow water, waist to neck deep salt water. Most rings are 18k, one 22K. 3 spinner, 2 tone gold rings. And approx. one pound of silver chains and rings. Over $50 in coins (no silver). Best day: 3 gold rings and some silver right after a wind storm.

thank you for looking.

WOW!:yikes: That's awesome for only 30 hours of hunting!

I'm assuming you're not detecting in the U.S? :)

Very Nice collection B77, ...Congrads on All!!! Good Eye ZOFCHAK.............They do look like a different style then what is found here in the states..But Gold is Gold no matter where you find it....B77, what is the Gold content on the 6th ring from the right...got to be a 22k, sweet....So are you back to the beachs that had the targets that were too deep for the excal? And these were found shallow water diving? A treasure for sure

Thank you all,

OldBeechnut: that is correct, it is 22k, good eyes, well I snorkel and use a hand scoop. I usually starts from 6 feet depth then move to less then 3 feel. I go in the evening and stay till night and use waterproof flashlights. Last year I used to hit the beach with Axcal 1000 and recovered 6 gold rings in 3 month. I am happy with the new DF, it seems more sensitive to gold. I am still learning about the different tones. Now I have the Excul to the rest and use it only if the DF in repair.

FANTASTIC! How do you like the machine? I have an excal II and wanted a backup detector and thought about buying a Dual Field. Can you really distinguish the tones from junk and gold???

Thank you for your response.

One tone only, as far as I know..I'm still a rookie of about 8 months, 4 or 5 hunts
I think discriminating with the Df is more like feeling out the shape, the size, and the strength of the signal.........Very Simple......ring is round, ..go for the small round smooth signal/tone, coin size. Wire nails, elongated double tone..bottle caps..a wider drawn out tone, not as narrow and rounded/pointed as a coin or ring

.Amazing the excal is the same , that's why I picked up the DF and she talks just like the Excalibur in PP mode hunting, so if you want a taste of the DF tones..use your excal in the PP mode, and dig ever target, dig ever target, dig ever target..then start to guess the targets...

Hey guys correct me if I'm wrong on this...I need to learn this DF better like B77

WOW!!:surprised:

Snorkling in clear salt water! Sounds like heaven to me!

Slim pickins in my neighorhood these days!

Fresh drops. (Very few!), Old 'n deep! (There, but not easy!)

Keep us posted on your finds Friend, so we can dream!!
