Found in mid November turned out to be a pre Civil War campsite! Lots of early buttons, coins and relics! Enjoy!
First pic shows half of an early powder flask dug in fire pit 2ft. down in center of campsite along with an early iron picket pin (not shown). The coin to the left is an 1809 British copper of some sort.

This next display shows a wide range of buttons which tell me this site may have been used at different times. U.S Great Coat button, a rare Ordnance Corps button and several general eagle and flat buttons.

This display show a rare Artillery button, notice eagle facing towards arrows. Also found a beautiful 1843 Seated Half Dollar that can almost pass as Uncirculated not a scratch on her! There is also a flat brass piece in the shape of an acorn without the stem below the half dollar. I know what an acorn looks like and let me tell you...it looks like an acorn! Doesn't make sense being found in Kansas but I assume a soldier brought it up from the South.

Yes...those are gold coins you see! 1844 $5 and 1847 $10 and I've never been the same since!!!
