Last hunt with MXT gets GOLD

I am shipping off my MXT on monday and my new EX II is on its way. My wife, some detecting friends and I spent the afternoon at a local park. I found this ring and a small gold lockett(plated),WW II button and 38 clad coins. My wife found 65 clad coins and a WW II Navy P-coat button. Our friend with his Tesoro found 55 clad coins. Our friend with his EX II found 112 coins(2 mercs,6 wheats)3 silver rings and 2 WW II buttons. I am probably going to miss the MXT but I am looking forward to learning a new unit and possibly some new deep finds. I love my MXT with it I dug well over 1500 coins this summer and over 30 pieces of jewelry.
I will keep checking this forum but I will probably be hanging out at the EXII classroom.
Thanks and happy hunting to all

Good luck with the Minelab, I'm sure what skills you have learned with the MXT will help your proficiency with the EX II. Are you selling the MXT? that's to Bad.

The Explorer is a deep detector too, but you will miss the balance of the MXT. I tried the Explorer too but went back to the MXT. The Ex is just not well balanced to hunt very long with it.I like the faster sweep speed of the MXT better. The Explorer is the deeper one on silver coins but depth isn`t everything. If you can handle the slower sweep speed and the weight of the Ex it will find good stuff for you.

I too just upgraded my MXT to an EX II. WAY cool machine. Ive had it a week and love it. Best detector Ive had my hands on. The learning curve isn't to bad. Keep experimenting with stuff. first time i tried 0 discrimination, i about flipped out while in a trashy area. Now that I'm use to it I just ignore all the noise iron and Listen for a high pitch sound of silver.
