OK, so it was only a 1938S Mercury. But what a great way to finish. I had no idea I had silver till I got home and looked at my finds. Nice surprise. Also got a 1936 S wheat penny, and the ring was made in Japan. My friend got a 1902 Indian head penny. We dug 5 hours in the lake. Going goose hunting next week, so no more detecting for 2015. Been a great year. Happy new year to all of you, go get you some!
