I got out with Bernie K and EJ today at the beach. The weather was perfect and the hunt started off with all kinds of little problems that kept my coil away from the beach. 1st, I decided to chest mount my Sovereign GT (bad idea) the only time I chest mount my Sovereign is when I go wading in the freshwater lakes. At first I got tangled in the wires and it drove me nuts. So off to the truck to put away the hip mount bag and set up the Sovereign conventionally. 2nd I broke my long handle scoop on a deep buried lobster trap. I threw my hands in the air and said " I am outta here". On the way home I called my wife to inform here of the bad day of detecting I had. She reminded me that my buddy Adam only lives a mile away and I should see if he has a shovel I could use. ( thanks for the tip honey)
So a quick phone call to my buddy earned me a shovel to use. So I went back to the beach and within a 1/2 hour I found this nice 14k wedding ring. It looked so great coming out of the hole just sitting in a pool of water. I also got tons of clad and Little odds and ends. Bernie and EJ did good with some old coinage including shielded nickles, Indian Head's, and a Large cent for Bernie. Bernie took picture of me holding the ring but I look so goofy in the pic ( I don't like the way my hand was positioned which made me look like I was about to break into a ballet) LOL
So here is a picture of my ring and a couple pics of the beautiful beach.

Nice way to end the year. With the price of gold on the rise you might be able to trade that bling for a new scoop! :thumbup:
 
WTG !!!.....Congrats on your finds .....Persistance pays off ..... I'm picturing you getting tangled up in cables and wires !!.....I get that way at times and I'm ready to rip everything off and throw it to the ground ...My hunting partner laughs his head off at me !!... He starts treating me like a kid , and that agrivates me even more ...." stop throwing that tantrum Jimmy" ......He will say in a scolding voice .....LOL !!.... He's lucky that I'm tangled or I'd take the handle of my scoop and I'd ................. Nevermind !!.......Happy New Year !!... Jim
