Last Fridays finds, gold ring, clad & 2nd mercury dime

First photo is the two crosses I found, 1 gold ring-10K and 3 ear rings. The gold ring I saw just laying in the water and scooped it up. The waves were out of the North-East and just seemed to wash it in my direction. One of the ear rings is shaped like the state of Florida I believe and the rest of the photos are just separate photos of these items. The ring was broke in the band that goes around the finger and was missing the stone and that's probably why it was lost. It was a cold and windy day and I haven't been able to go back since last Friday, but hope I can get out some this week. They started letting the water back in Saturday.

I found 17 pennies including one wheat. 1 penny looked like it had a run in with a lawn mower or outboard engine propeller. Some trash and my 2nd Mercury dime and 2 Roosevelt dimes. I found a meritorius driving record from the home insurance company, but didn't see a date. Some shell casings and bullets I found, also.

This is the place I was hunting. When I first got there somebody had left holes all over the place. A young guy I thought was the caretaker thanked me for filling them in, but I later met the caretaker and he didn't seem to worry about it due to the water coming back in. I'm glad I filled the holes in because I didn't want to get blamed for someone else's lack of ethics and cause a black mark on our hobby's reputation. Some of the holes were bigger than photos 2 & 3 showed. Photo 1 shows them better, but not a very clear photo. #4 is the first ring I found and # 5 is some more of the trash I removed from this beach and an old department store in town. Lots of lead sinkers of all sizes. My pastor melts them down so I got to get them separated out for him. Photo # 6 shows the pier where I found so many coins + a gold man's ring in previous post. Thanks for looking and HH.

The water will be too deep for my 2500 when it gets back up to full level, but I hope I can get in a few more days dirt fishing and see what else is hiding beneath the sand. Water hunting is easier on someone with back trouble than land hunting. I tried hunting on land and it really wore me out late Thursday afternoon.

Thanks Mudpuppy. I want to go everyday, but just can't seem to get out for one reason or another. I'm really happy with what I have been blessed to find so far and hope to find something real special before the water gets too deep.

Well, we sure have enjoyed your finds and posts, you are a good guy I think taking care of your mother and all..maybe you can relax this winter and hunt that one spring behind the church just nice and easy and it wont hurt your back so much? Man, a big chunk of gold may be under your next swing, at least I hope it is!
Mud.
