Last few days finds

Well it hasn't been exciting at all lately!! A 14K HGE teaser and a few pieces of silver. I think my best find was a set of Ford keys! Ok, as for the silver I found a 1964 Washington and two mercs. Also a religious medal and chain. Another interesting find was an ID bracelet that says LCDR Robert Flynn 8-21-67. I was puzzled on it because it was brass and you would think a person that high in rank would have something silver! LOL did some research today and found it was a POW bracelet as he was shot down over China on that date. He did survive the camps though and was alive as of last year.

The old ice skate is nice, just a bit rusty. I have found 2 others but this one is in the best shape. OHH I also found a small oil can. LOL forgot its picture. All it has on it is Made in USA. It was also a neat find and its full of oil. Smells like sewing machine oil. Will take a picture of it in a few minutes.

Does ANYBODY know what kind of car that is on the keys? I can't find a set of keys like these on the auction site. Thanks!

As you can tell, my cat is as about excited with the finds as I am!

The top has what looks like a needle in the middle. For small precise oiling maybe? I was thinking this is for a fishing reel. Thanks for looking.

Hey, a silver day is a great day too not to mention the interesting things you have there. Looks great to me; you always seem to have some very nice finds but I know you work for it too!

Years ago my wife used a electric sewing machine to make and mend the kids cloths. I used a similar oil can with a needle like dispenser to oil the fittings on the machine. I'm sure it could have been used for other oiling jobs but it is what was recommended for her machine. I hope this helps. Rick IL.

Good job cleaning that lake bottom...maybe u can find the ring on a second hunt....Like the futuristic,Jetson looking car with wheels on the key..nice silver picks..Good Luck next time.....HH

I dont know about the keys, but I have and still use the exact oil can youve found . It was used in an old movie projector, the kind one would have for home use in the 1960s.

It has a spot in my currio cabnet now. Somebody probably decided oil was oil and used it for his fishing reel! At least it was made in the good ole USA!!

Awesome stuff as usual ScubaDetector!! I like your posts, it is amazing the stuff that ends up on the bottom isn't it? Keep up the good work and HH!

I have a kitty just like yours, his name is Bob and he likes to be the center of attention and in the middle of everything.
