I found this stuff on my last couple of digs last month using my Vaquero. The medallion was a 1937 radio give away .Kinda like the one on A Christmas story .LOL My last hunt it was 40 degrees and windy and the next morning it was 5 below so I am done untill late spring. Hope every one is staying warm and Merry Christmas to all. :usaf:

You finished out the year with a bang can you elaborate on the radio token. Dont you just love those Indian nickles (Buffalo)

This is what someone sent me about it.I was pretty shocked but happy .

1936 Jack Armstrong Dragon Talisman, a premium of the Jack Armstrong radio series sponsored by Wheaties breakfast cereal. There was an accompanying chart game, "Adventures with the Mystical Dragon Talismans." The talisman's inscription translates as,

Thanks for the explanation on medallion.I am of the TV era..........

Gunnar ,I never use all metal mode because I would have to dig every few inches here in ND. These old farms are so full of nails and iron it drives me nuts in all metal. I set the disc. at iron and dig everything else. Lots of trash but lots of nickles ,silver, relics,a few rings old toys ect ect. I love the vaquero .Best machine that I have ever owned and I have had about ten machines of all brands. Now I am down to the Vaquero with a cibola as a back up /loaner. My next machine will be a tejon but it will be a while. No battle fields close by here so the tejon can wait for now.
