Last day for hunting till spring-NOT

IT started out as a pleasant day in SW South Dakota. The temp was 46 degrees and I thought I might make one more day in the field.
but it was not to be as my new E Trac died!! I turned it on and got no response. Put on the headphones and tried again but all I got was a short squeak and no display.
Took out the battery and put in on charge , installed the AA battery pack with the same results!
Any ideas on where to begin to look?
Thanks all,
SD Miner

It sounds like you started looking in the right place, first. If all power and connections check out, could there have been a moisture exposure? If so open it up as much as possible and leave it in a very dry place for several days and try again. If that doesn't help its back for warranty servicing.

Check to see if your coil connection is tight. Mine failed like that once and it was the loose connecton of the coil .
