Went out Sunday to the old school house where I dug the coin purse earlier this summer. Got 6 wheats, a 1947 silver dime, a 1942 silver war nickel, an old gold plated ring with about 97% of the gold still there, a big brass bicentenial pendant, 2 jack knives, a Crown Royal bottle, and not shown is an 1863 Civil War Patriotic token. She is soaking and I will post a pic later!

Hit a few old sites today and got some goodies too! Here is a 1907 "O" Barber dime and 3 wheats

Here is a nice old piece of plate I picked up. Look at the detail!

Here is a neat little crock I dug. I got a signal dug down and seen it. Knew for sure it could not be whole, but it is! Looks like a small honey pot? It is 4 1/2" dia. and 5" tall. It does have a crack in the back, but still whole! :)

At another old site there was an old fallen in house, and I got these 9 insulators off the house! I also got 4 of the hangers.

Here is a single one. They resemble the top of a cork top bottle. You can even see several bubbles and other imperfections in the glass!

Sure was a great day! :)

...fantastic day!! I'll trade you my rusty horseshoe I dug today for the honey pot!!

Can't wait to see the Cival War token.

you chucked yours! :) I was thinking about using it to put detecting finds in. Maybe wheaties?

those are great digs Mike ! Never have seen an insulator like those before. Sure wish I was digging in your state sometimes !! Steve in so az

Those insulators are really something!

but then when old farts like me were young we carried a jack knife - as a tool and as a game (Mumbly Peg) and we even took them to school and played with them on the school grounds - no expulsions, no teachers dirty looks, etc.

Congrats Mike on the finds.
