Last couple of hunts.:twodetecting::garrett:

My buddy and I have been dodging rain showers thus far this week, but have managed to get in a couple of hunts on some old ground that we have hunted some on before. Each one of us have dug at least 1 silver these last two days. I got the cut Mercury yesterday and he had a silver Rosie in his water bottle when I left him still swinging this morning.

Some clad, cents, 2, 3 ringers and 4 wheaties was all I had when I left him this morning. I swung my way across the field and when I got to the other side I slowed down to hunt the last few yards to a road I was going to walk out on when I got a scratchy mixed tone with target numbers of 72-74. Dug it and from about 5" un-earthed what turned out to be a decent 1896 I H cent. A few yards further on got a lock on 51-52 and recover a 1907 V nickel. Our ground isn't kind to nickels, but this one has decent detail. The Buffalo as shown came yesterday and is a no date. Dug the 15 cents New Orleans Cafe token this morning. I dug 8 wheat cents the last tow hunts and the oldest are 1911, 1919 and 1920. The others 30's- 50's.

I had on the 11" DD coil and running Pro Mode, no disc., iron audio off, except to occasionally check on a bottle cap, and sen max. G B is typically 86-89. I saw my buddy dig a wheat cent this morning with his A T that was all of 8" deep on the Pro pin pointer. No cherry picking for us on these old sites. Slow is the way we go. HH jim tn

Well, keep racking it up there!:clapping: That's some old dirt...I'm thinking gold coin, especially after that lunar eclipse this morning should help pull it up within range!

John, don't know if there is a question in your comment, but if I got silver every hunt I would have well over twice as many as I currently have. I loose a few hunting days through out the year for various reasons, but over all, its a rare day when I am not out swinging for something. HH jim tn

Congrats! You are Consistently finding the good stuff. I was under the same impression as John-Edmonton, that you always come home with silver.

No, Bruce, I don't get silver every day. Yesterday none. Today, though, did get a 62 Washington quarter and several wheat cents.......and a 4 clad quarter coin spill for a total of 9 clad quarters for the hunt. My hunting buddy got a beautiful 1927 S L quarter. We didn't want to rub it to see about a mint mark. We need some of that yankee air to come down. Near 90 is to hot for this time of the year. You all take care. HH jim tn
