Silver coins are still coming 1 per outing, so have 3 shown for Mon. through todays hunts. Also got a nice sterling cross this morning along with the 17s Mercury, 2 wheats, probably a claim check coin with 88 on it and some nice lead, of the most notable finds. Got the Rosie yesterday and the 37 Mercury on Mon. along with some wheats. Ran into tabman at the park this morning and he was still digging like a madman when I left. The Merc this morning was pushing the 7" mark and the 3 ringer was all of 8." Guys, it is short sleeve weather here today, so am about to crank up the lawn mower and clean up the few remaining leaves. HH jim tn

Good hunting, silver is very good and the Celtic cross is very pretty.:clapping:
I see a thimble, he has looked you age? thimbles forms have changed a lot in the last two centuries (here in Europe more) I do not understand but I know thimbles were not always the same ....
Saludos, Senda

HEY I THINK I LOST THAT CROSS WHEN I WAS IN TENN ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO.ANY CHANCE OF ME GETTING IT BACK?JUST KIDDING JIM BUT I WAS IN NASHVILLE 20 YEARS AGO.HH GOOD HUNT GOOD POST AS ALWAYS.

Nice going Jim! That's a super nice looking silver cross and it has some weight to it. It's always nice to find Mercury dimes and that 3 ringer is the icing on the cake.

I got a little hot today. It's about time for the shorts to come out of the closet.

Did a little cleaning on the Cross and found it to be marked "Creed" sterling. Quite a few hits come up for Creed sterling (Religious Metals) and on one site found the exact same Cross listed for $37.95 retail. HH jim tn

Jim, I told you that silver cross was worth a whole lot more than that mercury dime that you found today. I wish I had found the cross.:) You don't leave much in your tracks.

Very nice haul, as usual! +1 what Tabman said!
It's warming up here, too. I was out in shorts and a tee yesterday, sweat band, 70 deg. It was 80 deg. last Saturday, back to 60s for the next few days, fine with me - 50s are my optimal operating temp, heh. I hope this doesn't mean that it's going to be 200 degrees all summer...:hot:

Good for you Jim on the silver again, keep it comin and really nice cross find too. HH

Definitely some nice finds.

WTG on the silver dimes and the cross. Wonder what that worm thought when you pulled the roof back on his little home? Plus, the 3 ringer. Keep on hitting it and posting your finds. It's beautiful weather here, but I can't get out unless it's in the front yard.
