Got to go out and hunt this past week and only found 1 silver coin but it was a heart thumper.
The schoolyard I found this dime in used to be an old farm ranch in the late 1800's to early 1940's and then a housing subdivision sprung up, and the school was built in 1958. It was my grade school, many,many.....er... a few years ago.
I dug up the dime and looked at it, and it was a 1916 Merc. as I turned it over to see the mintmark( hopefully a "D") I dropped it back into the hole.
I got it back out of the hole and looked at the back of it.............. no mintmark!!!!!!!! Soooooo close.

Here is the coins found. And the 1916 "no D" Merc dime.
