Last 3 outings 2nd barber ever

OK so my ankle is starting to feel better and I got out today. I got my 2nd barber to date, and it ties for my oldest coin at 1898. The Rosie is from the day I ruptured the tendons in my ankle. That is how that coin came out of the ground, and a little dish soap but no polishing. The car is probably the only Mercedes I will ever own.I also dug two Wheats '40 and '45 today.

Check out the stark contrast between the Rosie and the 1982 Zincoln that is to the left of the Rosie. I also thought that was a remarkably nice pull tab. The Lucky Beer twist top hit 28 N to S and 32 E to W and the same visa versa, boy thought I was going to dig an Indian, OH Well

Yeah I was a happy boy. Its not a valuable one so I'm gona clean it. I ran the 10.5 MF DD Wed and dug very little trash.

Congrats on the Barber. Those older coins are sure nice to find. Before I'd try any harsh cleaner on that dime, if it were mine I'd try rubbing it lightly with a pencil eraser. Some of the old siver I've found in wet sites comes out blackened. Many times, I've been able to remove the black oxidation with a rubber eraser. I'm not telling you to do that. I'm just saying I would give it a try if it were mine. (how's that for covering my rear?) HH Randy

(how's that for covering my rear?) Pretty darn good. That eraser makes for a real super fine abrasive. worked on some of the blackness. Ummm. I remember reading somewhere that there is a trick that involves baking soda and aluminum foil, but i do not recall the rest.

Great finds! Good work on the Barber, they are some of my favorite coins. Hope there are more in your future!
